Oatmeal is my favorite food most especially when I'm on a diet and wants to lose my body's extra fats fast. I love it with the Hazelnut flavor. Oh, so heavenly! As a beauty agent, oatmeal can help us lose weight fast. This is based from my experience. Aside from the slimming benefits of oatmeal, it is also good for our health.
Oatmeal is a good source of soluble and insoluble fiber. Fiber is good for the body as it helps in eliminating toxins. Soluble fiber may help lower LDL cholesterol while still maintaining the body's high HDL cholesterol levels. HDL is good cholesterol while LDL is the bad one.

Those who eat more oats are reported to less likely to experience heart disease. Oats also has cancer-fighting properties because of its phytochemicals content. Other nutrients and minerals that can be found in oats are Vitamin E, Protein, Zinc, Selenium, Iron, Manganese, and Magnesium, among the many others.
However as in any kind food, any food taken excessively is not also good for our health as it may also cause other health problems. According to reports, oatmeal has high amounts of purine which is one of the main causes of increase on the uric acid level of the body. If you are suffering from gout or have found out that your uric acid is high, it is best to lessen your oatmeal intake first. In order to flush out uric acid from the body, it is advisable to drink a lot of water daily.
