Nowadays, being healthy and having a sound mind and body is a must. More and more people are now becoming conscious with their appearance and overall health. As we grow older, we become more concerned with what we eat and with the kind of lifestyle we live as we don't want to get the many diseases that may come later in life due to our unhealthy lifestyle.

Exercise is a very essential part of getting healthy. The easiest way and the most popular form of exercise is running or jogging. Many people love doing a morning run before going to work to keep their bodies fit. However, before we start doing this kind of exercise, it is necessary that we get ourselves a comfortable running shoes to protect our feet and legs.


It is necessary that we check the overall condition of our body when undergoing any kind of exercise. Some exercise maybe too much for our body most especially for our heart to take. It is necessary to have a good quality heart rate monitor to help us check regularly our heart rate. This will greatly help us keep our body condition in check.

Many people say that brisk walking is better than jogging. In brisk walking it needs longer time to cover everything that you want to cover which gives your body more time to exercise. The calories burned too in brisk walking and jogging is almost the same. Brisk walking also gives lesser stress to your ankles, joints and feet. When brisk walking, it is best to have a pedometer to help yourself keep track of the number of steps you have taken already. This will help you evaluate more if you were able to reach your fitness goals.


Jogging and brisk walking makes our body healthy and makes it strong enough to fight off diseases. A well-exercised body also looks younger and healthier. Exercise helps lose those unwanted fats which keeps us away from the many diseases that we may encounter later in life most especially the big C, cancer. It also helps lift our mood and makes us function very well during the day. A healthy lifestyle, combined with the right attitude and the right exercise routine would give us that powerful and confident personality.
